SEI Operating, LLC is a highly successful, fully integrated oil and gas exploration and production company located on the Northshore of New Orleans in Mandeville, Louisiana. 

We provide comprehensive drilling, completion, stimulation engineering and field supervision services for energy-related properties throughout the United States.  Our operating areas are characterized by long-lived natural gas and oil reserves and established production capabilities with abundant growth opportunities.

SEI’s success comes as a result of using the most advanced research methods to identify drilling prospects and timely property acquisitions.  In addition, SEI’s consultants and staff are highly skilled professionals that are well known industry leaders in drilling for oil and natural gas.

OPERATIONS

Our very competent and experienced team collectively bring more than 170 years of hands-on oil and gas experience. Our geologists and engineers generate drilling prospects using petroleum geology, 2-D and 3-D geophysical techniques as well as the most advanced petroleum engineering techniques. 

Particular strengths in Field Management, Petroleum Geology, Exploration, Acquisition and Reworking wells in well-known oil and gas fields previously discovered by the majors such as Chevron, Shell Oil, Exxon and Gulf Oil.  SEI is well positioned to capitalize on extraordinary opportunities in the business of reworking mature oil and gas wells.

A Division Order, also referred to as an Assignment, is a document confirming ownership information on a particular property/unit and authorizing distribution of funds accordingly.  The Division Order does not represent a sale of your property or a change to your lease.

When you sign and return the Division Order, you confirm that you agree with the
information disclosed in the document.  If you have any questions regarding the content of your Division Order, please contact Shale Energy International or email ncooper.shale@gmail.com or call the land team at (985) 246-3026.

It is very important that you keep us informed of an address change, even if you are receiving funds via direct deposit into your bank account.  Address changes must be received in writing.  Please fill out the Change of Address form found on our website and send changes to:

Death of an Owner with a Will:

  2. Probate proceedings were filed in the state and county in which property is located and are complete

    b)  Certified copy of Last Will and Testament

Death of an Owner Without a Will:

  1. Probate proceedings are filed in the state and county in which the property is located and are currently pending

    b)  Certified copy of Administration Proceedings

  2. Probate proceedings were filed in the state and county in which the property is located and are complete
    a)  Certified copy of Final Decree, Certificate of Transfer or other documentation evidencing final distribution of property by the Court through laws of descent and distribution

  3. Probate proceedings have not been filed
    a)  Certified copy of Death Certificate
    b)  Properly executed and recorded Affidavit of Heirship completed by disinterested party

SEI Operating, L.L.C. will not process a change of ownership without receiving the request in writing, accompanied by a recorded conveyance document from the record title owner.  The conveyance must clearly describe the property to be  transferred, and have the conveyance recording information for the County or Parish in which the property is located.

In order to add a spouse to your account, we request that you provide a conveyance document stating in writing that you wish to add another member to your account. The document can be acquired through the county/parish where your mineral interests are located. Please contact our Division Orders Department for further information.

SEI Operating, L.L.C. does not offer direct deposit at this time.
Revenue checks are mailed on (or about) the 20th of each month when your revenue has reached the $100.00 minimum or when minimum suspense is released by year end.  Depending on State regulations or lease terms it could be slightly different.
Yes.  Many factors contribute to your payment, such as market conditions, fluctuating commodity prices, regulatory or contractual changes, changes in the status of the well and volume changes.
Ad Valorem Tax on minerals are levied by the County where your minerals are located.  This tax is payable only when minerals are producing and are billed and collected by the County once per year.
This is a State Tax levied upon your pro rata share of production.  State governments set these tax rates and they are collected from your royalties and paid by the Operator.
If you have not received your check, please contact SEI Operating, L.L.C. at (985) 246-3026 to assist you.

If a check was due, then please wait at least 15 days from the date the check was
originally  mailed (the 20th of the month), then notify the Revenue Department at (985) 246-3026 and we will void the check and re-issue the funds to you on the next available check write date.   Once we void your check, please do not attempt to cash it.  The check will no longer be honored when presented for payment.
Contact the Revenue Department and they will void and re-issue the check on the next check write date.
Royalty owners who received $10 or more and working interest owners who received $600 or more during the calendar year will receive a 1099.   We mail 1099’s on or about January 31st of the following year.  The income reported to the IRS is your gross income prior to any other deductions or taxes.  The 1099 can also be used to report state income tax.
